CFLC Kids Good News Text the Week of July 9, 2015

Our Boys Youth Homes kicked off the summer with a tour of the Richard Nixon Presidential Library, checking out his birthplace, listening to the Watergate Tapes and climbing aboard the Presidential helicopter. They joined the Coast Keepers at Pacific Beach Crystal Pier over the 4th of July weekend for a trash pick-up detail and presentations on preserving our environment. Several attended a career workshop to develop resumes, craft cover letters and practice their interview skills in pursuit of their dream job.

Sounds like a serious summer but the boys also enjoyed an “All You Can Bowl Extravaganza” at Mira Mesa Lanes (one first time bowler was thrilled to break 100) and cooled off splashing down the waterslides at Wave Waterpark. They joined the Youth Home Girls at Storm Stadium watching the Lake Elsinore Padre affiliate take on the Stockton Ports and have been practicing their own baseball skills at the local park.
