Where to donate food this Thanksgiving
In the upcoming weeks, friends and families will gather around to celebrate Thansksgiving. Thanksgiving wouldn't be the same without turkey, mashed potatoes and other holiday classics! Many families around Riverside County face hunger and cannot afford to enjoy the same Thanskgiving meals as we do. This leaves them with feeling excluded and unimportant to the community around them.
This holiday season, donating food to your local nonprofit is a great way to help your comminity get food on the table and extend warm greetings to all.
How to Donate a Thanskgiving meal
The first step to feeding a family this Thanksgiving is finding a local nonprofit. California Family Life Center is a nonprofit located in Riverside County that provides safety, comfort and healing to children suffering abuse and abandonment. Once you find a nonprofit near you, you can come in for more information or donate online. Because of the pandemic, some nonprofits may not accept food donations and prefer online donations.
