This individual is responsible for all first line supervision in maintaining group home operations. Duties include, but are not limited to: Personnel, Facility, Transportation, Fiscal, Program and Treatment Content, and Compliance with related regulations. Minimum 3 years Group Home supervisory experience and BA degree required. Current Group Home Administrator certification a plus.

General Responsibilities:

Clients – Leader in implementation of behavior modification program. Enacts and reviews all disciplinary actions. Implements motivational strategies for clients.

Personnel – Schedules employees to provide care and supervision to clients according to activities and requirements. Orienting and training employees in group home policy and procedures. Maintain staff results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning and performing performance evaluations.

Facility – maintains group homes by inspecting and monitoring homes to be in compliance with licensing agencies. Makes recommendations for improvements.

Transportation – Ensures operation of vans/cars by implementing preventive maintenance requirements. Makes recommendations for repairs and/or replacement.

Approves activity scheduling for group and individual recreation, community service, school events, and outside groups.

Program Compliance – Maintains professional and technical knowledge, for compliance, of all regulating agencies.

Fiscal: Turns in time card and month end financials to accounting office, approves routine expenses.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Group Home in Valley Center is currently hiring Child Care Workers for our adolescent boys group home. F/T awake overnight and P/T shifts, including weekends and evenings. Supervise "at risk" adolescent boys. Ability to pass background checks including DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse, and drug screen. Must be 21 or older, have a valid California driver's license, and a good driving record. One year previous related experience, BA or 12 units Early Child units + 100 hours experience working with youth is required. $12.50 to $14.00 per hour.
